Quilt Surface Design Symposium

My work space at Fran Skiles Painting on Fabric Workshop held at the Columbus Ohio Quilt Surface Design Symposium. See the little Sunbonnet Sue pile!

My work at the end of day two, it's all about texture and layers, and of course, Sunbonnet Sue!

Fran Skiles checking out her students work. We were all amazed at the amount of work we got done in two days.

The end of our workshop, what a great experience! Thanks, Fran!! Thanks Quilt Surface Design Symposium!

Sun Bonnet Sue tower

Here is my latest sue bonnet sue, The latest is always the favorite so I will say no more.

Maudie quilt

This is a detail of my daughter's great grandmothers quilt on her dad's side. I am into the different whites used, she was very prolific, and I will eventually add more pic's of her quilts. They are mostly in Indiana, and will take some tracking down. She had 11 children, and some crazy amount of great-grandchildren most of them have several quilts each! She also fed her family from a gigantic garden and kept chickens and pigs which are the source of many funny tales.
